American mountain bike all-rounder Marla Streb (Luna Chix) fell in love with Costa Rica five years ago, so much so that she and her husband moved there in 2007 with plans to launch Marla Streb Mountain Bike Skills Camp. A handful of women’s only camps are scheduled for 2009, with 12 camps scheduled in all.

“I was turned on to Costa Rica when I raced La Ruta for the first time, about five years ago,” Streb told BikeRadar. “I thought it would be a perfect place to start building mountain bike trails to really get into the jungles. So I moved here about two years ago and have been building up the trails and the business, on top of racing with Luna.”…  More info

Ferrari’s Kimi Raikkonen was fastest in a Formula One testing session Tuesday, although the Italian team missed out on three hours of track time because of a KERS malfunction.

Raikkonen set a fastest lap of one minute 32.102 seconds at the Bahrain International Circuit to edge Jarno Trulli of Toyota by about one-10th of a second. BMW Sauber’s Nick Heidfeld was further behind.

The company says its 2009 Indian Chief lineup will be on display in the Black Hills of South Dakota at the 68th anniversary of the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. It’ll be a great chance to scope out the ’09 Chief Standard, Deluxe, Roadmaster and Vintage models on the corner of 4th and Lazelle in downtown Sturgis.
