Cyclocross?? Seriously Cam? Yep, seriously. Well.. seriously serious about not being that serious. But seriously though… What a time. Trek invited me out to their headquarters in Waterloo Wisconsin to be a part of a huge event they host each year called the TREK CX CUP. It’s a Cyclocross World Cup Race, so that portion of it IS quite serious. The best riders from all over the world duking it out for valuable points, prize money, and glory. But if you know anything about TREK, you know that they seriously know how to have a good time

The Mare Island Naval Shipyard was a thriving center of industry for more than 100 years, but it has been largely dormant since 1996. Now things are starting to pick up, with the Mare Island Brewing Company leading the charge in redevelopment and bringing unique events to this beautiful spot in Vallejo, California.
The Mare Island Pedalfest aims to show off the in-progress renaissance of the island with an urban cyclocross race, BMX rodeo and a family-friendly lap of the shipyard.
I took on the urbancross race with three teammates from Benicia High School. We called ourselves the Local Yokels. It was a blast!
SCOTTS VALLEY, Calif. (BRAIN) — About two months after announcing that it planned to reinvest in its bike helmet and accessory brands, Vista Outdoor has layed off 14 people at its Scotts Valley facility, which houses the Bell, Giro and Blackburn headquarters. The layoffs represent about 10% of the work force at the facilty.
According to sources at the company who spoke with BRAIN, the layoffs were across departments at Bell, Giro and Blackburn, including employees in engineering, design, testing and marketing. The layoffs included several long-serving manager in those departments, the sources said…
