Oh come on, you weren’t expecting anything else from the next-generation 2011 Porsche 911 were you? It has looked this way for decades, so no matter how extensive the mechanical changes are to the 998-series of this classic sportscar, it’s always going to look familiar on the outside.

Judging from this prototype spotted recently on the Nurburgring test track, the rear end of this 911 will get the most extensive cosmetic changes. The car doesn’t look substantially larger in any direction, but from the rear three-quarter angle it appears as though the wheels are a little off from the bodywork, so some slight changes to the wheelbase and/or front and rear tracks may be in the works…  Details, Pictures & Video 

Sunny skies and warm temperatures helped this year’s Sea Otter Classic see double-digit attendance increases the first three days of the show. 

Sunday was down 5-8 percent, according to Sea Otter president and chief executive officer Frank Yohannan.

“The decrease [was probably] due to the hot weather and fewer amateur categories,” Yohannan said. “Also there was no BMX racing this year.” Temps rose well into the 80s at Laguna Seca on Sunday.

Ferrari boss Stefano Domenicali says the struggling Italian team may switch their development focus to the 2010 car as early as next month, if their fortunes do not improve dramatically in the next few races.

In what has been a disastrous season, Ferrari have failed to score a point in the first three races of the Formula One season, their worst start to a campaign since 1981.
