Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 21 June, 2010 : – -Â The NSSA completed the first leg of the 2010 National Championships at Salt Creek with great surf and weather conditions prevailing at Salt Creek. A solid mix of Southwest and Northwest swell provided good chest to shoulder high peaks and plenty of excellent scoring opportunities for the competitors. Weather was sunny and warm with glassy conditions throughout the four day championship event.
Many of the NSSA competitors were at the top of their game and because it’s “game on†at the Nationals, competition was at the highest level. Everything from progessive passion pop aerials to power surfing brilliance to 12-year-olds doing man-sized moves to first-time title winners to heat meltdowns and so on, was witnessed over the four exciting days at Salt Creek. The National Championships continued it’s 32 year legacy as America’s amateur surfing showcase and the best is still yet to come! … Details
