Rookie Dean Wilson Breaks Through for First Career 250 Class Win

MECHANICSVILLE, Md. (June 19, 2010) – Round four of the 2010 Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship made its annual visit to Southern Maryland on Saturday in front of thousands of energetic fans for the MotoTees.com Budds Creek National from Budds Creek Motocross Park. A full day of intense bar-to-bar action from the world’s fastest riders resulted in a third consecutive 450 Class victory for Rockstar/Makita Suzuki’s Ryan Dungey, of Belle Plaine, Minn., and a first career win for Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki’s Dean Wilson, of Scotland. 

Dungey, the current 450 Class points leader, carried a four-moto win streak into Budds Creek but had to settle for third in Moto 1 behind Honda Red Bull Racing’s Andrew Short, from Smithville, Texas, and Jagermeister KTM’s Mike Alessi, from Victorville, Calif., after an  …  Details

Truckee, Calif. (June 22, 2010) — The third round of the 2010 USA Cycling Professional Mountain Bike Gravity Tour (Pro GRT) will hit the West Coast at the Northstar-at-Tahoe Resort in Truckee, Calif., June 24-27.
The California event is the third of five international-grade downhill events in the Pro GRT. Truckee will play host to many of the world’s top riders, including Downhill World Champion Steve Peat (GBR/Santa Cruz Syndicate), teammate and World Cup series leader Greg Minnaar (RSA/Santa Cruz Syndicate) and Olympian Jill Kintner (Seattle, Wash./Washington State Bicycle Association).
Heading into Truckee, Bryn Atkinson (AUS/Transition Racing) leads the men’s standings with 145 points, 15 ahead of Andrew Neethling (RSA/Trek World Racing). On the women’s side, Tracy Moseley (GBR/Trek World Racing) stands first with 165 points, with Kintner and Melissa Buhl (Chandler, Ariz./KHS Bicycles) tied for second with 110 each.
