Masters World Champion Juan Ashton Gets Ready at Santa Catalina
Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 27 July, 2010 : – - Showing that he´s really looking forward to an even more historical record breaking world title, the two times Masters World Champion, Juan Ashton of Puerto Rico, spent a week in Santa Catalina training for the Panama ISA World Masters Surfing Championship.
Ashton is the sole winner of the Master division of this event, the world´s biggest surfing event for over 35 year old surfers. In 2007 he won the gold at home, with pumping 10 foot waves at MarÃas, Rincón. He won again one year later, in the perfect waves of Punta Rocas, Peru  … Details
I am on a mountain bike, wearing a short kilt over my biking shorts, peddling along the ocean floor on the Bay of Fundy in St. Andrews by the Sea, New Brunswick, Canada. No, this is not a dream — well, maybe it once was a dream of artist and mountain biker, Geoff Slater www.geoffslater.comwww.geoffslater.com who thought up the idea of biking in a kilt and his partner, trainer , Kurt Gumushel www.ripplefitness.cawww.ripplefitness.ca whose father is a tailor and made the kilts for the cyclists.
