Moto X Best Trick was defined by not who was in the competition but who pulled out due to injury. For what was once X Games most hyped and anticipated events., this year was a different story. Pietermartizburg, South Africa (July 30, 2010) – Four more medals will be coming home to the United States after day two of the UCI BMX World championships in South Africa. Fifteen-year-old Felicia Stancil (Lake Villa, Ill.) dominated her Challenge Class division to earn a world title as did Nathan Padilla (Lakewood, Calif.) in the 16-year-old boys division. With amateur class competitions complete, attention will now turn to the junior and elite superstars as they compete for the title of world champion on Saturday.

American wizz Felicia Stancil wrapped up her seventh world title at only age 15, sweeping each moto round and romping to a lopsided win in the 15 Girls class. Heading into the Skateboarding Vert at X Games 16 all the pre-event hype was focused on Shaun White’s long-awaited return to the skateboard halfpipe. The golden boy of the Vancouver games was hoping to come back and put on a show…which he did. But White was outdone by skateboarding’s most dominant vert rider today, Pierre Luc-Gagnon, aka PLG, who took home two gold medals from the Staples Center Friday night: Skateboard Vert and Best Trick.
