Australian surf legend Tom Carroll appeared on 60 Minutes in Australia Sunday to come clean about a methamphetamine addiction that’s been crippling him for decades. “It was killing me,” he said. “There was a powerful life force inside trying to kill me.”
Carroll was a two-time ASP world champion, winning back-to-back titles in 1983 and 1984. He’s ranked No. 7 in Surfer magazine’s “Greatest surfers of all time” list.
