Four Aussie professional skiers deployed the world’s first autonomous drone technology in Alaska to produce the ultimate extreme ski adventure film, “Sugar Mountain”.
Sugar Mountain has some of the greatest ski footage ever captured, with a world first use of drone technology. They learned to fly two prototype drones and the quality of the images taken were second to none.
The skiers were dropped onto a remote Alaskan glacier for a month of camping, climbing and skiing some of the steepest slopes the world has to offer. Unsupported by helicopters or snow-machines, every turn made, every first descent was self-climbed in the freezing cold.
