Drew Powers, still getting back into shape after recovering from his injuries shown on YouTube, took first place in a hard fought battle with Jared Rando and Mikey Haderer in the Men’s Pro class.

While driving along M-20 or Broadway, you may have noticed snow being pushed around in the open field to the west of the Soaring Eagle Casino and Resort.
The resort personnel and the Saginaw Chippewa Tribal Fire Department have been creating an ice track and a winter play area for the AMA National Ice Race Grand Championship event scheduled for Feb. 14-15.
“It’s going to be something new for the property,” Mike Dini, advertising and public relations manager for the casino and resort said. “The staff has been building the track west of the casino in the field.

The International Kiteboarding Association (IKA) and the Professional Kiteboard Riders Association (PKRA) came to an agreement regarding the issues raised by PKRA prior to joining the IKA. It will be noted that IKA was sanctioned by the International Sailing Federation as the worldwide governing body of kiteboarding.
In a marathon conference call held Saturday, IKA Chairman Christian Conrad, IKA Executive Secretary Markus Schwendtner, PKRA President Mauricio Toscano and PKRA Media Director Paul Caswell finally agreed to several key issues raised by the PKRA. Although there are still several details that need to be discussed, both Schwendtner and Toscano declined to give details pending further talks…Â More info…
