Rob Kent from the Calshot Activity Centre won the Windsurf Round the Island Race which took place on Friday 10 April. Second was Chris Gibson of HISC and third Annette Kent, Calshot Activity Centre.
Despite the drizzle, light wind and poor visibility, 92 entries started the 22km race from Hayling Island SC and 47 completed the full Gold course, round Hayling Island.
Sailing against a strong 3+ knot ebb tide, the fleet headed up Chichester Harbour to pass under the road bridge connecting Hayling with the mainland. This was the the first gate (Bronze) and then into Langstone Harbour on the west side of Hayling Island…Â DetailsÂ
