MELBOURNE – Two outrigger canoes manned by 10 men and four women have set out from Port Welshpool in eastern Victoria to cross Bass Strait to raise money for cancer research.
It is hoped that the 14m-long outriggers will reach Bridport in 17 days and create history as the first outriggers ever to make the voyage.Â
