Smuggler’s Notch is a beautiful resort in Jeffersonville, Vermont. It is made up of three separate mountains: Morse, Madonna, and Sterling Mountains. In fact, it gets its name from a narrow mountain pass, or notch, that runs adjacent to the Sterling Mountain. Often, in days of old, smugglers would use the notch to escape the law and make away with their bounties through the thick trees and dizzying caves into Canada. Smuggler’s Notch, or Smuggs as the locals refer to it, is very much a place that encompasses a local, family feeling.
