This year’s Wedge Classic started off on a sad note. One of our top Pro & DK riders, Wes Potts had an unfortunate accident and broke his neck.
Wes had paddled out for free surf to join friends before the start of the heats for the day when the unthinkable happened. On his first wave, Wes air dropped on a meaty first peak wedge, going head first onto his board then getting hammered onto the shallow sand bank.

…LOST REWIND – While we were digging through the thousands of tapes we have in the …Lost video studio for our upcoming movie “WARd Stories” we stumbled across this clip of Cory Lopez stomping a 360 indy grab air in France. Our video helper/intern Omar thinks this air could stand up to anything he’s seen on the web the last couple years and he’s ranked in the top 16 for skimboarding. And he assures us that he knows what he’s talking about. The video was shot during an expression session contest in 2002 or 2003 by Alex Berger
