Brant Page evaded the draft while living in Hawaii and hiding from the FBI.
Both men turned to surfing to cope with the consequences of their decisions.

The California Surf Museum is proud to present ‘Between the Lines’
Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 12 April, 2009 : – – Between the Lines explores the choice that most draft age surfers faced during the Vietnam War era: either go to war or evade the draft. It was one or the other. Between the Lines delves into the lives of two surfers who choose opposite paths, Pat Farley and Brant Page.
Many of the film’s personalities are expected to be in attendance and the theater lobby will be filled with a variety of Vietnam photos and memorabilia. CSM member Bruce Blandy will display the surfboard he crafted in Vietnam.
