On this week’s episode of The Downshift, we catch up with Murph, who set off 3 years ago to ride his BMW R 1150 GS Adventure motorcycle around the world. Since Murph lives on his motorcycle and was planning to drive in snow and ice, the bike had to be modified to the extreme. Added was a Mobec Duo-Drive 2wd Sidecar for carrying all of his possessions as well as tons of other custom bits to deal with the freezing cold. With his new kit assembled, Murph decided to spend the winter exploring the Arctic Circle.

“The American Youth Sailing Force is challenging to win the Red Bull Youth America’s Cup this September on San Francisco Bay. Many young sailors have grown up visualizing themselves sailing for the Cup. Red Bull is making that dream more possible.
The Force was formed first and foremost with the goal of representing the United States in the Red Bull Youth America’s Cup. Our team represents the highest level of youth sailing in America and aims to prove that with steady determination, hard work and passion young American sailors can be a leading force on the international sailing circuit.
