Day four of the JP Aloha Classic, presented by Nalu Kai, started in bizarre fashion as two winds battled against each other throughout the morning. In the end the regular trade wind prevailed – starboard tack – and continued to build through the afternoon, which saw the youth’s AWT contest begin.

Huanchaco, Peru – The local and international communities came together on Friday and Saturday to commemorate and celebrate Huanchaco as a World Surfing Reserve, the first World Surfing Reserve in Latin America. In a series of dedication events that saw everything from cultural re-enactments, fireworks, and attendance by Peru’s surfing elite – the importance of this designation for the local community and Peruvian surfing community was center stage.

October 19, 2013 OC Ramps held Ramptober. Rockstar Energy had the drinks flowing and rolled through with their skate team. Famous Stars and Straps provided the sound with DJ Scoop and a special performance by Hopsin. Darkstar Skateboards sponsored a best trick contest where some amazing skateboarding went down and Daphne’s Greek Café served up some good eats.
