Mat Galina is possibly the hardest working snowboarder on the planet!
Mat backs up winters in the Southern Hemisphere to his homeland of Kelowna in Canada. Chasing the endless snow, Mat works full time as the lead Falls Creek Park Crew member during the season downunder.
This winter Mat set his sights high, crossing a 60 metre stretch of lake at over 80km/h, built run-ins that looked more like boarder-cross tracks and sent it on the largest gap to wall-ride feature the southern hemisphere has ever seen.
Earlier in the summer, Dan Drehobl, Brad Cromer and Auby Taylor of Krooked Skateboards crossed the boarder to celebrate a Canada Day with Nolan Waller, Alexis Lacroix and Seb Labbe.
Kicking off 2014 with a rip, eight 900-horsepower off-road Pro4 trucks will race head-to-head in the snowy climate of Maine’s renowned Sunday River Resort on Friday, January 10 for Red Bull Frozen Rush. Defying climate constraints, ripping figure eights and flying off jumps on steep snowy inclines and declines is what eight professional drivers will use to test their skills against one another on uncharted territory for the first time.
