There’s nothing better than getting together with your pals and hitting a long and scenic stretch of highway to discover new skate terrain and experience unfamiliar regions of the planet. The Lifeblood team took it out to the wide open landscape of Montana this past summer and skated numerous skateparks and assorted terrain.

2)  Kilian Journet breaks the speed record on the Matterhorn, climbing the mountain in 2hrs 52, return from Cervinia. This is an AD alpine route which takes in 2500m of elevation. It’s not “hard” but this is re-writing the rules as much as any first ascent in the Himalayas.

1)   But of course number one has to be the Swiss machine himself Ueli Steck for his 28 hour solo brand spanking new route on the South Face of Annapurna. We caught up the man himself.
