“Around 1994 I was sent a bunch of raw footage from the Kewday Team – I was to cut my first ever video from that footage. Something that is far too poor an effort to show you here. I recently stumbled across the OG VHS containing golden footage of Dom Kekich, Sid Tapia, Clay White, Mick Yuen and Chad Bartie. Dom’s footage is priceless. He had just shook his Powell prodigy label and graduated as a master of the streets. Most of his footage is shot at Flatlands, which was a silky plaza across from Flinders Station.

Federation Square has long since replaced this flatground mecca. From what I can tell the remainder of the footage was filmed on the Goldy. Sid and Mick lived in Sydney but had gone up there on a wee trip where they logged some serious footy. Both Clay and Chad lived on the Goldy. Chad went on and became a household name, whilst the naturally gifted Clay moved onto other past times. Thanks to Jack Hutchings and Jamie Bartie for filming and of course a big shout out to any mystery filmers involved. Enjoy.”
