POWERED by three jet turbine engines and hitting speeds of over 375mph – this is one lorry you won’t get stuck behind. But then again, this is Shockwave, the world’s fastest jet-powered truck. The three-tonne 1957 Chevy generates an incredible 36,000 horsepower and can cover a quarter mile in just six-and-a-half seconds. This footage was captured at a show in Cayuga, Ontario, Canada.
An elite group of young Rip Curl surfers from all over the planet hit the North Shore earlier in the year to as a part of the Rip Curl Grom Camp. The groms joined surfing legend Tom Curren and North Shore locals Kekoa Bacalso, Mikey Bruneau and Pancho Sullivan as they expanded their surfing repertoire.
As the North Shore heaved, the groms studied it and gained invaluable knowledge on where to sit, how to surf the waves and how to get the best pictures and video sections. You’ll see these groms popping up all over the place in the next few years. They are the next generation.
