Angel Fire, N.M. (June 22, 2014) — The 2014 USA Cycling Gravity Mountain Bike National Championships wrapped up Sunday at the Angel Fire Bike Park with familiar faces standing on top of the pro men’s and women’s podiums. Aaron Gwin (Wildomar, Calif./Specialized Racing DH) and Jill Kintner (Seattle, Wash./ Team Norco International/Red Bull) both showed off their dominant downhill skills in repeating as national champions.

The Pacific met the Atlantic last week at the Hawaiian Airlines Liberty Challenge, an international 15-mile canoe race on New York’s Hudson River. It pits ocean-faring racing canoes against “one of the busiest urban waterways in the world,” the longest outdoor regatta on the east coast.
The Liberty Challenge is hosted by the New York Outrigger club, an organization modeled after those in Hawaii, where regatta season is highly competitive every year.
