In this third episode, Travis and longtime partner-in-crime Mark Landvik push the boundaries of the Japanese Alps on huge pillow lines as they chase the notoriously deep powder of this supernatural country. Mark’s sense of humor shines brightly bringing out the lighter side of Travis – and unveils a friendship built on decades of missions in the backcountry.
What started as a simple idea discussed over a few cold beers has been quickly nurtured into a full-fledged weeklong shred fest with all of the world’s top park riders in attendance. Home to the only truly public slider park in the world and now filled with more features than ever, Hood River, Oregon was the perfect venue to host such an event.
Twenty-nine competitors gathered in the Slider Project Park from August 5th to the 11th to see who would throw down the hardest and claim their spot as the top park rider of the event.
This season we finish up here with a compilation of my travels to Panama with my homies (Nick Garcia, Greyson Fletcher, Julian Davidson) then a trip to Iceland together with some of the Huf dudes (Dan Plunkett, Tyler Bledsoe, Josh Matthews) and Kevin Terpening. Then I make a short stop in Gothenburg, Sweden with friends (Wes Kremer, Josef Skott Jatta and Jaakko Ojanen) and finally, on the other side of the globe, I visit Tibet on another trip this time with Chris Haslam, Peter Molec and Mario Wirnsberger.
Everywhere we meet with the locals (BIG THANKS GUYS), skate, party and live life to the fullest. I actually got hurt both in Panama and Tibet, so in stead of skate-footage I give a glimpse into the behind the scenes of our trips.
