From an early age Mike Douglass had always had an interest in extreme sports and started out riding and racing BMX. He developed a passion for all things related with extreme sports & motorsports and knew he wanted to be involved in the industry in some way.
He came up with the initial concept for ExtremeSponsors.com in 2000 when looking for a way to streamline the ‘sponsorship’ process. Ask any serious athlete what their goal is in their career and they will say ‘sponsorship’. At the time to find a sponsorship deal usually meant being in the right place at the right time, spending hours creating a rider CV and posting hundreds of letters out to potential sponsors. Tires made partially from orange peels and motor oil made from animal fat are part of the green future for sports car racing in America.
