Valentino Rossi starts the European MotoGP season still chasing his first win of the year, having finished second to Casey Stoner in Qatar and his own Yamaha team-mate Jorge Lorenzo in Japan last weekend.

Now he is gunning for his sixth victory in the top class at Jerez on Sunday, he told the press why he is looking forward to racing at one of his favourite tracks again and why he has no qualms about taking the fight to Lorenzo if he has to. AUTOSPORT was there to hear what he had to say.

Alejandro Valverde will have to face the International Cycling Union (UCI) as well as the Italian Olympic Committee (CONI) when he appears at an anti-doping tribunal, CONI said on Thursday.

The Spanish rider, who denies wrongdoing, was charged by CONI at the start of the month with being involved in Spain’s Operacion Puerto blood doping scandal.

CONI’s anti-doping prosecutor called for a two-year ban but any suspension agreed by the Italian anti-doping tribunal can be enforced only inside Italy…  Details

 Nearly 2,000 spectators crowded the Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center’s Victory Field on Saturday, April 25 as FMX, BMX and professional street stunt bikers took to the pavement for the The Few, The Proud,  The Extreme.

Although high winds threatened to cancel the event, the riders adapted and overcame, carrying on with their show.

With high jumps out of the picture, stunt riders from team No Limit along with Jef Groff and Eric Whitcomb of team edub 32 and Alex Flores,  entertained the enthusiastic crowd with a professional street bike performance while the Riders 4 Christ FMX team renegotiated their performance…  Details
