Lance Armstrong says he could be back for one more Tour de France.

The 37-year-old Texan, who is competing in the Tour for the first time since 2005, was asked by a French TV interviewer if this will be his last one.

“Probably not. Probably not,” Armstrong said on France-2 after Sunday’s ninth stage. “Maybe one more Tour.”

The seven-time champion, who is riding for the Astana team without salary this year, has previously hinted he may launch his own team next season…  Details

Pozo Izquierdo has provided yet another astonishing day of competition where both the men’s and women’s wave fleets have been whittled down to the final few. As we approach the ultimate heats of the single elimination, last year’s winners will need to battle fiercely against empowered locals and bitter rivals to retain their position at the top.

The day’s action reached its pinnacle as the competition progressed to the men’s top sixteen. Phillip Köster (Starboard/NeilPryde/Dakine) has taken the world by storm with his recent success, and he sailed brilliantly today, disposing of Kevin Mevissen (Tabou) and current PWA wave leader, Josh Angulo (Angulo/MauiSails/Dakine), on his way through the rounds. His massive jumps and incredible technical ability on the wave have boosted him through to the top eight.

Brazilian Jadson Andre ripped on this Saturday at ASP WQS 6-Star Maresia Surf International, the stylish goofy-footer’s now placed atop the ratings in the hunt for the ASP WQS Tour title and qualification for the prestigious ASP World Tour. Andre grabbed first place from Australian Daniel Ross after winning two heats and advancing to tomorrow’s Quarterfinals.

This cold Saturday had heavy storm weather and strong winds with two-to-three foot (0.5-1 metre) waves. WIth surfers needing to find the best waves to advance, the new ASP WQS leader, Brazilian Jadson Andre was on fire in the waves of Mole Beach at Florianopolis.

“I try do not think too much in the rankings right now,” Andre said. “I’m just so stoked. I had the best heat so far in the event and that is what I want, surf heat by heat, do the tactics right and get some waves to reach the Final.”

Andre also preferred not to comment about the qualification to the ASP World Tour for 2010…  Details
