LAKE OF THE OZARKS, Mo. — The Top Gun of timed racing will rise to the surface at the Lake of the Ozarks Shootout Aug. 28-30.
The largest unsanctioned boat race in the nation, Powerboat Magazine has named the Shootout one of the nation’s eight “must-see†boating events. The race will run from the 32.5 to the 34.5 mile marker, just below the Hurricane Deck Bridge.
The event, in its second year on the west side, will be hosted by Captain Ron’s Bar & Grill on Lake Road 5-50 in Sunrise Beach (mile marker 34.5).
