Video Surfing – The 47th annual ECSC event – No waves is what you can expect at the ECSC events held in the past, but this year tropical storm Danny spun its way right off the mid-Atlantic coast kicking up some fun chest high surf for this years contest.The 47th annual ECSC event had the help of Coastal Edge taking on the title sponsor making this years event better then ever! Some of the tops brands had their tents up passing out free swag, playing games and hanging out in the sun….LOST team rider Aaron Cormican was on fire all weekend long. Aaron surfs with more power and flow and can do just about any air out there. Plus with all the surf lately he’s been warming up at NSB inlet. Good boards and a motivated attitude will make big things happen. The win- his 4th in the last 5 years at the ECSC, puts him as the best ever ECSC surfer. Ah… what’s it been, three weeks since we mentioned a Nürburgring “record?” Well, rest easy friends, as this post has nothing to do with a “record.” Instead, it’s all about the time laid down at the ‘Ring by Horst von Saurma, editor of Germany’s Auto Sport. Herr von Saurma lends an air of credibility to these tests, as not only did he briefly race professionally, but his ‘Ring results are generally taken seriously. For instance, his 7:32 in a Porsche Carrera GT was considered the production record until recently when Nissan and General Motors started bringing in factory hot shoes.
