The Porsche Motorsports team is undoubtedly a group of happy campers after last weekend. Not only did Porsche win its second consecutive event in the Long Distance Championship with a 911 GT3 R, but the automaker finished third with its 911 GT3 R Hybrid — a model that made its auto show debut in Geneva earlier this year.
Porsche factory drivers Joerg Bergmeister and Wolf Henzler took the wheel of the 911 GT3 R Hybrid for the event and came away impressed with the car’s performance. The hybrid features Porsche’s famous flat-six gasoline motor, supplemented by two electric motors.
