May 29, 2010 (Lake Forest, CA) – Today some of the best skateboarders in the world joined Ryan Sheckler at the etnies Skatepark of Lake Forest for the Sheckler Foundation’s first Skate for a Cause event that raised thousands of dollars for the Make-a-Wish Foundation. It was one of those days when the skate community rallied to help others and had a lot of fun granting wishes, with three best trick contests, a demo and a skateboard carnival village with games and activities

Two lucky kids’ wishes were granted this morning at etnies private skateboard training facility too – Jonathon’s wish was to skateboard with Ryan Sheckler, and Marissa wished to skate with Rob Dyrdek  …  Details

Bodyboarding was invented in 1971, by American surfer, entrepreneur and musician Tom Morey.

On July 7, he cut a rectangular shape of polyethylene foam and covered it with newspaper. The first bodyboard was born and history was made.

Tow-in surfers from Western Australia have reasons to be happy. The official safety procedures require a spotter behind the jet ski driver, but the Department of Transport is exempting tow-in surfing rules for another 12 months.
