Windham, N.Y. (August 25, 2010) — For the first time since 2005, a UCI Mountain Bike World Cup is being held in the United States. It gets underway this weekend with the top off-road athletes from around the world gathering in Windham, NY for the UCI Mountain Bike World Cup finale. Among the top riders will be American standout Willow Koerber (Durango, Colo./Subaru-Trek), who is currently the third ranked female in the World Cup standings. She’ll be joined by other top American riders like Georgia Gould (Ketchum, Idaho/Luna), Todd Wells (Durango, Colo./Specialized), Jeremy Horgan-Kobelski (Boulder, Colo./Subaru-Trek), and Adam Craig (Bend, Ore./Giant). Although the wind was not always on the side of the competitors at the 2010 Canadian Masters CAN-AM Challenge, the almost three-thousand spectators sure enjoyed the weather! Sixty-five competitors from across Canada and the USA participated in the successfully run three-day event held at Sandy Beach Recreational Park in Dryden, ON. Nine of fifteen races were held over the course of the weekend with good representation from silver, gold and junior fleets.

Overall men’s Masters Champion was Andy Gratton USA3 from Fond du Lac, WI was tied overall in points with Nick Cox CAN32 from Ottawa, but was edged out by earning more first place finishes   …  Details

On Saturday, August 28, the world’s top BMX pros will head to ARCO Arena in Sacramento for the ASA Triples presented by MegaRamp.

ASA Entertainment brings its MegaRamp ASA Triples tour to Sacramento’s ARCO Arena on Saturday, August 28, for the third stop of the 2010 season. Freestyle BMX stars from the X Games will take on the challenge of the 195-foot long course, consisting of a 25-foot high drop-in ramp, two 25-foot wide jumps and a course-ending quarter-pipe, all while grabbing ‘big air’ to perform their flips, flairs, whips and spins for the event title.
