San Francisco startup Mission Motors made a little history when factory rider Steve Rapp lapped Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca in 1 minute, 31.3 seconds. That number is amazing for several reasons.
First, it’s a track record for an electric vehicle of any kind. Second, the run during qualifying for the TTXGP on July 23 would have put Rapp fifth on the grid for that weekend’s AMA Supersport race — and just 10 seconds behind the Moto GP pack.
