We’ve a long history with the Mega, and have been back racing it for 4 years now. There really isn’t another race like it. 2500 riders sending themselves down from 3300m to 800m on every surface, including snow, rocks and loam. Each year its unique challenge, new riders, returning riders, The trail evolves a little more and totally different conditions. – Nukeproff
February 7, 2019 – This was far away from maxed out Nazare, but you couldn’t have asked for more perfect conditions. The winds were low, and the swell direction was playing a perfect part to the shape of these monsters. Topping out at around 60+ feet on this day, we saw some really clean-fun waves!
They don’t make em like Gony Zubizarreta anymore. Gony was born In Argentina, raised in Spain, and relocated to Portugal to manhandle it’s slabby tubes, as seen here in the video. Gony is one of the kindest, awesome, and humble humans we have ever met. He also fucking rips. He’s got a great taste in music and supports Metal Neck like no other.
