Last month I proposed that, with some rare exceptions, Hollywood has not only failed to represent surfing and surfers on any meaningful level, but it has actually made films of such inferior quality that it has done substantially more harm than good to surfers’ reputations among regular folks. Many out there in GrindTV land disagreed, however.
