One of the longest running and most iconic surf contests in the world, the Vans U.S. Open of Surfing, kicked off this past weekend with the trials for the main event and pro junior action. Held on the south side of the venerable Huntington Beach Pier in California, it will be non-stop shredding all week until it all culminates on Sunday with the men’s and women’s finals.
