Ho’oku’i means “to join together” in Hawaiian.
Around 35 members of the Ho’oku’i Outrigger Canoe Club will join together at the Shoreline Aquatic Center at 9:30 a.m. today to receive a blessing from Julian Kalani Villanueva. The guest of honor is a recently repaired canoe, which will be blessed before it takes its first post-repair voyage.
