OWEN Wright’s professional surfing career came to an abrupt halt at the Rip Curl Pro at Victoria’s Bells Beach last April. A disc injury not only forced the world No. 10 to withdraw from the competition but from the sport completely while he worked on his recovery.
Back in the water for the first time in November, Wright says he’s confident he’ll be fully fit for the Quiksilver Pro that kicks off on the Gold Coast next weekend.
