To prepare for the Phatwater Kayak Challenge, a 42.5-mile endurance race held each October for all human-powered watercraft, Eric Borgnes took four five-hour kayaking training runs in the month leading up to the event, hoping to improve on his past finishes, as reported by Canoe and Kayak.
