 Alli Owens, who is a second-year ARCA driver and only 1 of 2 women in the field, came in second to Justin Lofton today in the season-opening ARCA race at Daytona International Speedway. As the local girl, Alli’s fast lap of 181.510 was just shy of the winning time of 182.120 mph on the 2.5-mile Daytona oval.
The 20-year-old Daytona Beach native will start from the outside pole in tomorrow’s race. Alli doesn’t shy away from talking about the significance of her race today… More info
