Within the last year, developments in artificial surfing wave technology, such as those recently announced by Spanish company Wavegarden, have made the dream of perfect waves on-demand seem like much more of a reality, potentially putting the entire surf industry on the verge of a new frontier. To keep everyone up-to-date on these new developments, U.S.-based Surf Park Central organized the first annual Surf Park Summit in Laguna Beach, California, recently.
