Francisco Lufinha will try to set a new world record for a non-stop kiteboarding journey of nearly 300 nautical miles (555 kilometers).
The kiteboarder, 30, aims to connect the Douro river mouth, in the city of Porto, and the city of Lagos, in Portugal. In other words, the wind rider will sail along almost all the Portuguese coastline.
