Day 4 – by early afternoon the first heat of the Round of 12 saw Hawaii’s Malia Manuel explode in to action with two scores in the ‘excellent’ range. Awarded a combined heat total of 17.25 (out of 20) to vindicate the decision to run, Malia strode into the Quarter-finals in emphatic style, where she continued in a similar vein of form to book a hotly-anticipated Semi versus Swatch Proteam surfer Courtney Conlogue.
Day 5 – Courtney Conlogue celebrated her 21st birthday today at Le Penon, Seignosse by winning the SWATCH GIRLS PRO FRANCE for the second consecutive year, picking up USD$8,000.00 for her efforts and a big confidence boost heading into a dramatic ASP Women’s World Title showdown.
