The North American Kiteboard Racing Championship 2013 has set sail, at St. Francis Yacht Club, San Francisco.

Up to 75 kiters split into two fleets to begin the qualifying stage of the event. Riccardo Andrea Leccese and Johnny Heineken started fast by winning all four races in their respective fleets.
