PRESS RELEASE

The C Street Surfing Museum Foundation, a 501-c3 non-profit organization founded in 2005 to re-create a surfing museum in Ventura is closing. The board of directors voted to close the foundation this past week. citing several factors, including the in-ability to find an appropriate permanent location for the museum within Ventura.

The Foundation plans to distribute approximately $10,000.00 over the next few months to local surfing and ocean sports related organizations within the community. This distribution will be done through a mini-grant process, providing grants to different organizations.

The main Foundation fundraising event, the annual C Street Longboard Classic surf contest will continue to be held, but will now be run by and for the benefit of the Ventura Surf Club.
