Some of the world’s best professional surfers traveled to Santa Cruz this weekend for a session at Cowell Beach. The traveling pros will team up with instructors from the Richard Schmidt Surf School Sunday morning to introduce children with cystic fibrosis to the sport and the healing powers of the ocean.

The visiting surfers are all volunteers with James and Charlie Dunlop’s Mauli Ola Foundation. The Dunlops are lifelong surfers who own the Ambry Genetics laboratory and want to introduce the sport as a natural treatment to people with cystic fibrosis   …  More
