There’s duct tape substituting for a hand grip. The kickstand doesn’t work anymore. When the ignition fails you take a small screwdriver, poke it in the right place and the cycle’s engine, overhauled nine times, turns over if you’re persistent about it.
Next month, former state Sen. David Zien will have driven his 1991 FXRT Harley-Davidson an unbelievable 1 million miles.
It’s a miracle both have survived to this point.
