THE 98th anniversary of Duke Kahanamoku’s famous surfing demonstration at Freshwater Beach will be celebrated on Saturday.
The third annual Duke’s Day event will start at 5am with a “salute to the sun” and a sunrise photo of surfers and their longboards lined up along the beach.
