KAHULUI – On Thursday, during one of the last practices before Saturday’s First Hawaiian Bank State Canoe Paddling Championships, Kamehameha Schools Maui coach Robert Brede said that he had ”a lot of butterflies” rumbling around in his stomach as he prepared his boys, girls and mixed crews, all of them Maui Interscholastic League champions.
