There’s an old pool in River Edge that looks like it hasn’t held water in a decade, and kids in the area like it that way. On some afternoons, skateboarders sneak in to work on their tricks.
Thirteen-year-old skateboarder Tom Schaar, who achieved the sport’s first ‘1080,’ practicing in an empty swimming pool in River Edge.
“You can come here and it’s kind of hidden, so you don’t get hassled,” said 11-year-old Greg Cheng.
