Israel “Izzy†Paskowitz grew up in a family of nomadic Jewish surfers, living in a camper with his parents, seven brothers and a sister. His father, Dorian, was a doctor who worked long enough to build up some cash and then quit his job and took his family on an adventure.
Israel “Izzy†Paskowitz is a former pro surfer, founder of Surfers Healing and the author of “Scratching the Horizon: A Surfing Life,†due out Aug. 21.
